TheDaddyComplex is spot on with this post. And, if you don’t find yourself questioning your parenting skills now or even if you do, just wait until they’re teenagers. That cute, adorable, baby face that makes you forgive every transgression is gone, replaced by the smirky “I know everything & you, idiot parent, know nothing” look. If you’re not asking yourself at least several times a week during their teen years, “Where did I go wrong?” then you might be in a coma & should pinch yourself - really hard. By the way, this questioning will be amplified 1000x the moment they get a driver’s license & keys to a car. Just know - it’s normal, you’re normal, & if you binge eat when stressed - well, three guesses as to when my obsession with cupcakes started.
